The Equity Pricing Model

At Seven Corners Psychotherapy, some of our services** are priced using an equity-based pricing model. Instead of a single fixed fee, we offer a range of pricing options, so that you can choose a rate aligned with your current access to financial resources. Rather than treating cost as one-size-fits-all, this approach distributes payment more equitably across a community.

Equity pricing is grounded in the understanding that income, wealth, and financial stability are shaped by broader systemic factors, not just individual effort. It aims to reduce barriers to care while still ensuring that it remains sustainable for us to provide services.

The pricing is organized into three levels:

- Community Supported Rate
: This rate is intended for individuals with limited financial flexibility or who are navigating financial strain.

- Sustainable Rate: This rate reflects the true cost of providing services, including the time and expertise of our clinicians. It is the baseline rate that sustains the practice.

- Contributive Rate: This rate is priced above the base cost. Clients who select this level pay for the sustainability of the services, as well as help offset reduced fees for others, actively contributing to broader accessibility.

How do you know which rate is right for you?

You might choose the
Community Supported Rate if:

  • Paying for services would create real financial stress or instability
  • You sometimes struggle to consistently meet basic needs (housing, food, healthcare, transportation)
  • You have little to no savings or financial safety net
  • You carry significant debt that impacts your daily living
  • You face systemic barriers that limit income or financial mobility

You might choose the
Sustainable Rate if:

  • You can meet your basic needs without ongoing crisis
  • You have some financial stability, even if budgeting is required
  • Paying for services may require intentional trade-offs, but not harm
  • You have limited savings or moderate debt, but it is manageable

You might choose the
Contributive Rate if:

  • You comfortably meet all of your basic needs
  • You have disposable income, savings, or financial flexibility
  • You benefit from financial privilege (generational wealth, access to support, etc.)
  • Paying more would not negatively impact you

This pricing model is grounded in mutual trust and integrity. We do not ask for any proof of your finances, but rather we rely on each individual to honestly assess and choose a rate that reflects their current reality. This approach recognizes that you are the most accurate expert on your own financial situation.

Choosing a rate is not about finding the lowest possible price. It is about collectively making access to care as equitable and sustainable as we can.
