
About Wes
Wes Cook is a Licensed Clinical Social worker in both Virginia (LCSW) and
Massachusetts (LICSW) and provides virtual therapy at Seven Corners Psychotherapy. Wes is a Queer transman and believes in the work of creating and experiencing belonging. Wes is physically located, and grew up in SWVA and brings an understanding of being Queer in the south to his work. Wes’ identities have helped craft his desire to be a social worker and community advocate. In Wes’ personal time, he is a new dad and enjoys spending time with his family and learning how to be a Queer parent. Wes is most often found playing sports for a Queer team or playing cozy video games.
Clients Wes Serves
Wes has years of experience working within the LGBTQIA+ community. Wes provides EMDR, Sandtray, and Narrative, and CBT therapies. In addition, Wes has practiced play therapy and finds joy in utilizing play in virtual sessions. He provides virtual therapy to pre-teens, teens and adults.
Experience & Expertise
Wes has experience working with individuals across the life span but loves working with youth, adolescents, and young adults. Wes is trained in trauma-informed care and focuses on intersectionality in his practice while working with clients with a variety of cultural identities and backgrounds. Wes has experience in working with depression, trauma, grief, anxiety, gender dysphoria, and other life stressors.
Current Availability
