Please be aware that police are not equipped to offer mental health support and may even pose danger to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, Transgender, Mentally Ill, Neurodivergent, and Disabled People.

Please reach out to community leaders, neighbors, friends, and family to be present if you are calling the police.

PHONE FIRST


The Fairfax- Falls Church Community Services Board, in partnership with PRS CrisisLink, offers a suicide prevention text line in Fairfax. Anyone can text "CONNECT" to 855-11 and a PRS CrisisLink volunteer will respond within minutes. You can also call 703-527-4077, any time 24/7.



HAVE SUPPORT COME TO YOU


The Mobile Crisis Unit (MCU) is an emergency mental health program of the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board that provides on-scene evaluation, treatment and crisis intervention in the community. You can call 703-573-5679.


CR2 Child & Adolescent Mobile Crisis Unit provides 24-hour rapid response to children, youth, and adults facing a mental health and/or substance use crisis who may be at risk for hospitalization. You can call 844-627-4747 or 571-364-7390.


REACH
(Regional, Education, Assessment, Crisis Services, Habilitation) is available 24/7 for individuals of all ages with documented evidence of intellectual and/or developmental disability and individuals over 18 years of age with mental health and/or at risk behavioral challenges. REACH services include mobile crisis response teams for crisis stabilization and prevention for adults and youth as well as a crisis therapeutic home for adults in need of short-term crisis stabilization and prevention outside of their home. The Merrifield Center offers walk-in, emergency psychiatric services and is located at 8221 Willow Oaks Corporate Dr, Fairfax, VA 22031, Lower Level. You can call 703-573-567.


The Wellness Circle Crisis Stabilization Unit
is a 16-bed regional facility that provides an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization for Northern Virginia residents. Services are accessed through local Community Services Boards. The program is located at 4410 Shirley Gate Road, Fairfax VA  22030. You can call 703-205-9452.
